Grant Thornton Announces New Global Technology Industry Group
Grant Thornton International Ltd recently announced the creation of a Global Technology Industry Group, which will be led by Steven Perkins. Perkins, previously the national managing director of the Technology Industry Practice at Grant Thornton, will lead a steering committee, focused on IT services, software and cloud infrastructure and electronic commerce and digital media. Perkins has advised clients on their information technology uses for almost 35 years and helped technology companies develop and execute growth strategies. He received his master’s degree in public administration from American University and a bachelor’s degree in history from Le Moyne College.

Decosimo Adds Tax Managers
Decosimo recently added two new tax managers, Victor DeMaise and Joshua Moore, CPA, to its investment entities practice. DeMaise’s experience includes managing the tax process for a variety of hedge funds, mutual funds, mezzanine funds, venture capital funds and off-shore funds, as well as consulting with entity managers and personnel providing structuring, transaction, and compliance solutions for domestic and off-shore investment entities. DeMaise earned a Tax Certificate from Widener University’s School of Business Administration and graduated from Drexel University with a Dual Bachelor of Science in Economics and Accounting.
Moore has experience in mergers, acquisitions and dispositions for international and multi-state consolidated corporations in manufacturing and distribution as well as serving venture capital and investment entities. He graduated Magna Cum Laude with his Business Administration degree and received his Master of Accountancy degree from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
Cherry Bekaert Selects Litigation Support Principal
Cherry Bekaert LLP recently announced the addition of Peter Gampel, CPA as a Litigation Support Principal. In his new role, Gampel will provide consulting services in the areas of commercial litigation, fraud and forensics, including business valuation and litigation matters. His expertise includes business damages, lost profits, disputes with the Internal Revenue Service, patent infringement, breach of contract, personal injury, false advertising and shareholder and marital disputes. Gampel has also worked with the U.S. Department of Justice in valuation-related litigation. He received a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Finance and a Diploma in Public Accountancy at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec.
The LBA Group Names Tax Manager
The LBA Group recently announced the addition of Mark W. Klebe, CPA, CMA, PFS as a Manager on the firm’s Tax team. Klebe’s experience includes more than 18 years of public accounting service and 12 years in private industry. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Central Florida.
